The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has officially announced online registration for Commissioned Officers 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and patriotic individuals to serve the nation in multiple branches including General Duty Pilot, Engineering, Education, Accounts, Logistics, Admin, and more.

Applicants must possess a valid National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Smart Card to apply.

  • Height: 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)

  • Vision: 6/6 each eye (without glasses)

Qualification

Minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any of the following:

  • FSc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / Computer Science)

  • A-Level (Physics, Maths, Computer Science / Biology)

  • ICS with Physics & Maths

  • DAE (Avionics / Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / IT)

  • BS degree in Aviation Management

  • BE in Aerospace / Avionics

2️⃣ Aeronautical Engineering Course – 107

Eligibility

  • Age: 16–22 years

  • Gender: Male

  • Marital Status: Unmarried

  • Height: 5’4” (163 cm)

Qualification

Minimum 65% in:

  • FSc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical with additional maths)

  • A-Level (Physics, Maths, Computer Science)

  • DAE in relevant engineering fields

Training Duration: 4 years
Degree Awarded: BE in Aerospace / Avionics

3️⃣ Air Defence Course – 117

  • Age: 16–22 years

  • Gender: Male

  • Qualification: 65% minimum in FSc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / Computer Science), A-Level, ICS, or DAE

  • Training Period: 4 years

  • Degree Awarded: BS in Aviation Management

4️⃣ Admin & Special Duties Course – 36

  • Age: 16–22 years

  • Gender: Male

  • Qualification: 65% minimum in relevant intermediate qualifications

5️⃣ Logistics Course – 19

  • Age: 16–22 years

  • Qualification: Minimum 65% in intermediate qualification (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / ICS / A-Level)

  • Degree Awarded: BS Degree in Aviation Management

Short Service Commission (SSC / SPSSC) Branches

1️⃣ Engineering Branch – 137

  • Age: 20–26 years (as of 15 October 2026)

  • Gender: Male

  • Marital Status: Married / Unmarried

  • Height: 5’4” (163 cm)

  • Rank: Flying Officer

Qualification

  • BE (Chemical Engineering or equivalent preferred)

  • MSc candidates eligible

  • Minimum 65% or 2.5/4 CGPA

  • Degree must be recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC)

Training Period: 24 Weeks

2️⃣ Education Branch – 137

  • Age: 20–29 years

  • Qualification Fields:

    • Maths

    • Psychology

    • Education

    • English / Literature / Linguistics

    • Statistics

Minimum 65% or 2.7/4 CGPA (HEC recognized degree)

Training Period: 24 Weeks

3️⃣ Education Branch (Islamiat) – 137

  • Qualification: MS/MPhil in Islamiat (preference to Dars-e-Nizami candidates)

  • Training: 24 Weeks

4️⃣ MET (Meteorology) Branch – 137

  • Age: 20–26 years

  • Qualification: BS/MS in Meteorology / Environmental Sciences / Physics / Maths

  • Minimum 65% or 2.7/4 CGPA

  • Training: 24 Weeks

5️⃣ Accounts Branch – 137

  • Age: 20–26 years

  • Qualification: B.Com / BBA (Finance) / BS Commerce / Accounting & Finance

📝 Selection Procedure

Step 1: Online Registration

Candidates apply via www.joinpaf.gov.pk.

Step 2: Intelligence Test

Computer-based academic test in:

  • English

  • Physics

  • Maths

  • Relevant subjects (for SSC)

Step 3: Initial Physical Test

  • Running (1 Mile in 8 minutes)

  • Push-ups (15 in 2 minutes)

  • Sit-ups (20 in 2 minutes)

  • Chin-ups (3 in 2 minutes)

Step 4: ISSB

Shortlisted candidates undergo ISSB testing in:

  • Kohat

  • Gujranwala

  • Malir

  • Quetta

Step 5: Medical Examination

Final medical at CMH Lahore.

Step 6: Final Selection

Merit-based approval by Air Headquarters.

❌ Ineligibility Conditions

A candidate will be rejected if:

  • Twice rejected by ISSB

  • Permanently declared UNFIT by Armed Medical Board

  • Dismissed or removed from government services

  • Convicted by a court of law

  • Provided fake documents

  • Found guilty of moral turpitude

  • Previously withdrawn from Armed Forces training academies
